CLEVELAND, OH – Plumbers Union Local 55 endorses Kevin J. Kelley for Mayor of Cleveland. This is the second union endorsement announced for the 2021 mayoral campaign, both for Kelley.
“This year’s election for Mayor is the most important local election we’ve had in decades and the results will shape the City’s future for years to come,” said Kelley. “I want to thank Plumbers Union Local 55 for placing their confidence in me to lead this city forward as the next Mayor of Cleveland.”
Local 55 represents more than 1,000 members in the plumbing trade and has deep roots in Cleveland. Kelley credits unions like Local 55, and the many other unions in the building and construction trades, for being an essential part of the Greater Cleveland economy.
“Unions like Local 55 provide training and a pathway to good paying jobs, reliable benefits and sustainable careers,” said Kelley. “As Cleveland moves forward, it is critical that we work closely with labor unions and the skilled trades to strengthen our workforce and invest in our future.”
